FunTime Review – Can You Earn By Playing Games?
Hello everyone, It’s David here, I hope you are doing well.
Welcome to my FunTime review article.
If you love playing games, an app known as FunTime may trigger your attention.
Maybe you have been eyeing it for some time but are still skeptical about it.
Maybe you are determined to start playing and earning.
Is it true that you can earn real money just by playing games?
How does it work?
Is it worth your time?
Are there any hidden intentions?
Let’s find out all the answers in this review.
What Is FunTime?
FunTime is a relatively popular app available on Google Play.
At the time of writing, it has already been downloaded more than five hundred thousand times.
Yeah, you heard that correctly, my friends!
So, what’s the main attractiveness that draws so many users onboard?
Well, the clear answer is none other than the opportunity to earn real money.
Unlike other apps, FunTime does require you to create an in-app account.
There are two ways.
First, it’s by creating a new account like what you would normally do when registering for an app account.
Second, you can enter the app conveniently with your Google account.
Since this app is solely available on Google Play, it makes complete sense to log in directly with your Android-synced Google account.
But before you do that, make sure to read through the terms and privacy policy carefully.
That way, you grasp a better understanding of the collaboration between you and the developer.
Once logged in, the interface looks like this.
As you can see, the app interface and even its theme and traits are very identical to a viral app I reviewed recently known as Funny Play.
If you’ve tried FunnyPlay, this app will not be unfamiliar.
How Do You Earn With FunTime?
Playing games is your primary activity.
What I mean by playing games is that you have to play the games offered within the app.
Meaning that only those games that are associated with FunTime will unlock earning eligibility.
So, do take note of that.
Before you can start playing, you have to grant consent for the app to access your phone’s data storage.
That way, it can track your cumulative playtime and reward you accordingly.
Android will also warn you with ten-second timers before you can grant consent.
Do this only if you trust the app.
So, what are the types of games available?
The scope is very broad.
It also depends on your residing country.
If you are living in top-tier countries such as The United States, The United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, you may have more game options to choose from.
Here’s an example of a game during my test.
So, say you are interested in playing this game.
You tap on it to initiate the installation.
What if I search for the similar game on Google Play and install it instead of from the app?
That’s a nice question, my friends.
Well, you certainly can do that.
The game will appear during the search and as usual, you can start playing by launching it.
The only major difference is that you will not be credited with redeemable coins.
If you launch it within FunTime, you will earn specific coin amounts every minute.
For example, the Solitaire Grand Harvest I showed you earlier rewards you with seven coins every minute.
FunTime also enables you to organize all your installed games easily.
All your games will be stored on the “your app” tab.
Accessing it will show you all the installed games within tha app.
Here’s what I mean.
Whenever you feel like playing your favorite games and start earning, navigate to the “your app” tab to locate all your installed games.
Here, you can also keep track of your total play time for each game specifically together with the total earned coins.
Another rule of thumb when using FunTime is to avoid the utilization of a VPN.
It’s prohibited and you may be disqualified completely from earning coins.
Why is that?
You may ask.
Well, for fairness’ sake, every player will be given a fair opportunity to play the offered games.
And the opportunities are heavily dependent on demographics.
Meaning that your residing country plays a huge factor.
Hence, it opens an opportunity for unethical players to cheat and exploit.
So, do take note of that.
How Do You Get Paid?
FunTime has several options for you to redeem virtually earned coins.
Is there a threshold I need to meet before unlocking redemption eligibility?
You may ask.
Well, the redemption threshold is set at $5.
Every one thousand coins earned in the app is equivalent to a $1 value.
Once you reach the $5 threshold, real payout redemption can be requested.
Here are all the available redemptions options and their amounts at the time of writing.
PayPal
– $5
– $10
– $25
Google Play, iTunes, and Amazon Gift Cards
– $10
– $15
– $25
Steam Gift Cards
– $20
– $30
PlayStation Gift Cards
– $10
– $20
– $25
As you can see, the PayPal option has the least threshold at $5.
It’s my preferred method of redemption.
If you also prefer the least threshold amount, PayPal is the recommended choice.
Everything I discussed in this section thus far is based on theory.
On paper, these are the redeemable amounts together with their respective thresholds.
How about the realistic scenario?
Can you really convert all your virtual coins to real monetary value?
Well, fortunately, FunTime is a legitimate app that does pay.
So, at least, there’s something to cheer about by playing games on this platform.
The only flaw in terms of coin accumulation is the inaccurate coin-earning statistic.
This problem is easily rectifiable by closing the app and relaunching it.
The Pros – What I like About FunTime
- Legitimate and does honor real payouts
- Low redemption threshold at $5
- Plenty of options for you to redeem virtual coins
- Smooth and clean user interface without intrusive ads
The Cons – What I Dislike About FunTime
- Games availabilities are driven by demographics
- May take a long time just to accumulate enough 5000 coins
My Final Thoughts
In terms of satisfaction level, FunTime does a pretty amazing job during my exploration.
It surpasses my expectations.
Even better, this company does honor real payouts.
So, if you are searching for apps to add to your preferred side hustles bucket, FunTime is worth a ticked checklist.
But even with all its positive traits, you have to endure two main challenges.
First, you need to be patient in accumulating virtual coins.
It may take some time to reach the redeemable threshold of $5.
Second, there will be limited games for you to play if you live outside the top-tier countries.
If that’s the case, it will take an even longer time to reach the redemption threshold.
Now, if you ask me, David, are there much better alternatives to earn money online?
Well, the answer is yes, there are.
I highly suggest you check out my Freecash review, it’s a detailed article on everything about the platform, specifically the earning parts.
Freecash is arguably one of the best rewarding platforms in the world.
It’s phenomenal in every aspect, and more importantly, there are plethoras of ways to earn coins that are redeemable for lots of rewards including cash withdrawals.
Additionally, I also encourage you to check out my PrizeRebel review.
It’s also my top recommendation when it comes to generating extra income online.
You can participate in various tasks such as surveys to kickstart your earning journey.
So, I hope you found this review article helpful and informative.
