Cashstory Review – Can You Really Earn By Reading?
Hello everyone, It’s David here, I hope you are doing well.
Welcome to my Cashstory review article.
For those of you who love reading, an app known as Cashstory might catch your attention.
Perhaps you have already discovered it and are seeking for more information in terms of its potential rewards.
Is it true that you can earn by reading?
Is there any hidden caveat?
What types of book genres are available?
How about your realistic chances of redeeming rewards?
Is it worthy of your time, reading, and participation?
Yeah, you heard it right.
Besides reading, Cashstory also offers other tasks that you could potentially participate in.
This is a quick teaser and I will reveal more in a moment.
So, are you ready to begin the discovery journey?
Let’s get started without further ado.
What Is Cashstory?
Cashstory is a reward app available on Google Play for Google’s Android mobile operating system devices.
Unlike most of the reward apps that steer towards the direction of casual games, the developer behind Cashstory took a different approach.
It still has tasks that are very identical to most of the reward games but its core trait is the opportunity to read and earn at the same time.
Now, it sounds and looks good, right?
Most people love reading to enhance their knowledge and to pass time.
This scenario creates an opportunity for unethical individuals to reap rewards with exploitation.
Since nobody offers free content in the form of digital books, there must be something that the developer wants to accomplish by offering free books to read, right?
It’s easy to get started with Cashstory.
It doesn’t require you to create an account.
You simply have to download and launch the app.
It’s that simple.
Once you launch it for the first time, it will show you a message containing its “privacy policy” and terms.
I suggest you read through carefully to understand your data privacy and security.
Proceed only if you trust the app.
Also, this app has been downloaded more than one hundred thousand times.
It showcases a certain degree of authority in terms of popularity.
And it allows users to provide genuine feedback and opinions.
You can browse through the real reviews to have a glimpse of the overall users’ satisfaction.
Here’s what its interface looks like.
How Do You Earn With Cashstory?
Let’s familiarize ourselves with the in-app rewards representation.
Cashstory offers rewards in the form of in-app coins.
You can earn coins by reading and participating in various activities.
What are the genres that I could explore and read?
That’s a nice question, my friends.
By default, the app will set the language to English.
You can freely change it to other languages from the options menu.
During my test, the app showed me mostly romance genre books.
Your scenario may be different depending on your chosen language and demographics.
To start reading, pick a title that you desire.
Once you’ve chosen a desired book to read, tap on the “read now” button to start reading.
You can also add your favorite books to the library for collection and further reading.
One thing good about this app is that it allows you to set the background color to ease your reading sessions.
For example, you can set the background to dark mode to ease your eyes for prolonged reading sessions.
Another good trait is that the font and font size are very readable.
So, regardless of your preferred font size, you will have no issues reading.
During reading, the experience will be very seamless and intuitive.
Simply swipe to the left and right to progress in reading.
Next, let’s identify all the additional ways to earn the in-app coins.
Check in the app daily
This technique is frequently used by most reward apps.
Your task is to launch the app daily and tap on the “check-in” button.
During the first check-in, you will be rewarded with 500 coins.
Subsequently, the rewards will be increased to 800 on the following days.
Participate in its paid offers
Remember I told you about the hidden caveat earlier?
Well, the paid offers are one of them.
You see, Cashstory offers a wide variety of books for you to read for free.
In return, the developer also hopes you will support him in other forms such as participating in the paid offers.
How do they work?
You may ask.
Well, various merchants and app developers are associating with Cashstory.
By participating in one of its offers, you will be helping them to earn profits.
In return, you get a fair share of the profits through in-app coins.
The amount of in-app coins rewards vary.
They depend on the specific tasks that need to be accomplished.
For example, playing a game to reach specific levels or achieving a special status in games.
These tasks may also require you to sign up for free trials, test out new apps, and so forth.
So, do remember to proceed carefully as there may be recurring charges after the free trials end.
Here are some of the “offers” examples.
By reading more and more books, you will accumulate “reading time”.
When you reach a certain reading time spent threshold, in-app coins will be rewarded to you.
Also, to entice and encourage you to keep staying in the app, the developer incentivizes more coins for continuous reading time.
There’s a countdown timer for the increment.
When it ends, more coins will be rewarded.
Play games
Understandably, playing games is one of the easiest ways for the developer to retain you in the app.
The more time you spend in the app, the more profits the developer will generate.
But how?
You may ask.
Well, it’s through video ads monetization.
One of the main reasons for the entire app creation is narrowed down to this sole purpose.
It won’t take you long to discover this ugly truth.
Soon, video ads will pop up everywhere whether you like it or not.
Participate in lucky draw
As weird as it may seem, Cashstory actually does offer an option for you to earn in-app coins by trying your luck.
This mini game will generate random coins for you to redeem.
But there’s a catch.
You have to endure a video ad in full.
It’s unskiappble.
Play the slot machine
Now, Cashstory has gone off track to a huge extent!
Instead of a sole book reading app, it now has an option for you to play the slot machine.
What a joke, right?
As usual, you try your luck to win as many golds as possible.
The condition to redeem the gold is to watch video ads.
How Do You Get Paid?
Disappointingly, you were here initially to read books and earn coins.
But then you were steered further and further to do other activities just to earn the in-app coins.
You’ve also managed to accumulate a huge amount of coins.
What’s next?
Well, Cashstory has the minimum redemption threshold set at $1000.
Wow, isn’t it insane?
Despite the high threshold, it’s not that difficult to reach the requirement.
When you first get started, it will reward you with $100 instantly.
Something that looks very unreal but it did happen during my test.
Let’s take a look.
As you can see, it’s a whopping $100.
My goodness.
You can even request more by watching video ads!
It hints at you with the little video sign inside the “call to action” button.
Once you are inside the app, instead of focusing primarily on exploring its universe of books, it lures you to participate in other irrelevant activities.
From my experience and observation, there’s only one thing the developer wants to achieve which is monetizing your time watching video ads.
Not one or two ads, countless ads are waiting for you if you stay long enough in the app.
So, everything that we discussed thus far is based on theory.
Theoretically, you are eligible to unlock redemption of one grand after reaching the threshold.
But how about the realistic scenario?
Realistically, is it even achievable?
My solid answer is a big no.
I’m not very optimistic about it.
There are too many illogical scenarios that do not make complete sense.
For example, a welcome bonus of $100 is a big warning that you have to activate your alertness.
Then, if you see carefully within the dashboard, you will be named randomly with numbers.
How could the developer even know who you are and initiate the redemption, right?
More importantly, I always remind and tell my readers that when something looks too good to be true, it is.
Don’t doubt it.
Think consciously, can you really earn one grand so easily by spending time reading books and doing other fun activities?
The clear answer is very obvious, right?
The Pros – What I like About Cashstory
- Free to join
- Has quite decent of book titles
The Cons – What I Dislike About Cashstory
- It misleads readers to do other irrelevant activities
- Unimaginably fake lucrativeness
- Questionable real payouts
- Lots of video ads
My Final Thoughts
The curtain has been pulled off.
Everything has been revealed.
The real intention of Cashstory is to attract you to its free digital books and to present you with intrusive video ads.
That is the main ugly truth that we have discovered.
So, yeah, Cashstory does offer free books for you to enjoy and pass time.
But the “free reading” comes with a heavy price tag.
You have to endure countless video ads.
And I’ve tested the app and these ads look spammy and unattractive.
So, I don’t recommend you read books from this app.
Although it’s free to join and has numerous book genres, the ads’ appearance may ruin your reading experience.
That’s my honest advice.
If you are a book lover, there are many alternatives to search for quality books to read online without having to endure endless video ads.
How about the potential reapable rewards?
Well, you can forget about them.
Nothing is going to materialize.
You will be flying to the moon if any attempt to request a payout is fulfilled.
Now, if you ask me, David, are there much better alternatives to earn money online?
Well, the answer is yes, there are.
I highly suggest you check out my Freecash review, it’s a detailed article on everything about the platform, specifically the earning parts.
Freecash is arguably one of the best rewarding platforms in the world.
It’s phenomenal in every aspect, and more importantly, there are plethoras of ways to earn coins that are redeemable for lots of rewards including cash withdrawals.
Additionally, I also encourage you to check out my PrizeRebel review.
It’s also my top recommendation when it comes to generating extra income online.
You can participate in various tasks such as surveys to kickstart your earning journey.
So, I hope you found this review article helpful and informative.

I feel for you.
It’s not easy to accumulate one million points.
These are virtual points.
They are valueless in terms of real monetary value.
As far as real payout is concerned, this is a fake app.
I suggest you stop spending valuable time on it.
